Over 2000 sites located with easy access to the Hume Highway and of Beveridge.
Development of over 2000 sites located with easy access to the Hume Highway and the existing township of Beveridge. Major and future employment opportunities at Donnybrook are within 15 minutes of the site. The area is well placed for affordable housing and qualifies for an additional $10,000 rural first homebuyer grant.
We provided key infrastructure servicing advice to the Beveridge Landowners Group to facilitate development of the Beveridge Central PSP. We worked closely with Yarra Valley Water, Mitchell Council and Melbourne Water to develop a coordinated and funded sequence of works in line with assets identified in the Precinct Structure Plan. Before the development could proceed, the planning process involved:
- Extensive negotiation over alignment;
- Sequencing of service infrastructure;
- Prioritisation of critical services for roads, main drainage, sewer and water services.
PEAKURBAN worked closely with all stakeholders to establish and coordinate the landowner group capable of funding design fees and construction for the required trunk infrastructure works. This allowed the rigorous investigation of servicing options to determine the optimum solution for servicing the entire catchment. By implementing a coordinated approach, infrastructure was minimised to avoid the duplication of services by each developer. The process also gave the Authorities confidence that appropriate permanent services could be funded and completed – and resulted in replacement of a temporary sewer pump station with a permanent branch sewer.
